Splatter Platter!

Using simple hand-building methods, create a beautiful ceramic platter with black clay. Make your own tools using natural materials and decorate your platter with white slip and exciting movement! Take inspiration from The slab-built platters of potter Janet Leach. Platters will be fired and ready for collection within eight weeks of the workshop from the Leach Pottery. Workshops are bookable and two-hours long for all age groups. If a participant requires a shorter workshop length, we are happy to accommodate this.

Time: 10am-12pm & 1.30pm-3:30pm
Where: St Ives Community Orchard

Please note this is a taught workshop and therefore we cannot accept arrivals later than 15 minutes past the workshop start time.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Price: free session for residents of Cornwall only
An £8 postage charge for items to be posted back to the maker. Collection in person is free
