Volunteer with us!

Volunteers are an essential part of our team; we can’t open our Museum 7 days a week without them. We love working with Volunteers and sharing our Museum with as many visitors as possible.

We are always looking for additional Volunteers to bring new skills and a fresh perspective to our team. Everyone is welcome!

If you enjoy meeting new people, learning more about pottery and developing your skills, we would love to meet you.

We warmly invite Welcome Volunteers to our Museum, we are currently looking for someone on Friday afternoons 1-5 to help welcome our visitors, and Workshop Support Volunteers, to support our work with schools, families and the community. If you enjoy talking to people and listening to their stories, how about becoming an Oral History Volunteer - collecting narratives from a wide range of potters who have worked at the Leach; those influenced by the Leach legacy and those who have other stories around Leach Pottery in the local and international community. Or if you are more outdoorsy and passionate about keeping our site beautiful and clear of weeds, how about being a Gardening Volunteer? (Click on the red links above for the role profiles)

Volunteer Benefits

Volunteering is a great way of developing your knowledge of pottery and the arts, meeting friendly people and making a difference. As a volunteer with us, you can become part of the Cornish Heritage Volunteers Scheme, which offers you free access to a number of Cornwall based arts and heritage locations and National Trust properties. We offer ongoing training alongside quarterly Volunteer creative workshops:
