Esther Bahl

Esther is a potter from Germany. Finishing her apprenticeship in 2019 in Bremen, she decided to travel to visit and work in different potteries in Germany and England to discover the many different ways of working with clay and to develop her skills.

 Esther worked in the Leach pottery as an International volunteer from February to September 2022. During that time she enjoyed working with such a highly skilled team of production potters, sharing knowledge and ideas and the enthusiasm for this wonderful craft.

Besides helping with the production of the Standard Ware range she produced her own range of wheel-thrown table ware such as teabowls, mugs, jars and bowls in simple, quiet shapes and decorations, all gas fired in a reduction atmosphere up to 1300 C.
