John Webb: Shop
John Webb’s current work is largely wheel-thrown using Doble's clay and fired with wood. His elegant, pared down tableware includes teapots, bowls, mugs, lidded jars, jugs and vases.
The pots are glazed with various local materials such as granite, clays/muds and wood ashes and sometimes bought materials. Pieces leave some exposed clay to interact with the flames, creating beautifully warm, toasted tactile surfaces. Each piece is a delight to use.
